Dear West Seattle Amateur Competitor,
All of the staff at West Seattle GC are excited to showcase our beautiful course to you this weekend………she is in perfect condition right now.
To help prepare yourself for the tournament please become familiar with the attached documents as it will include all of the important details regarding the event. Please print out a copy of the conditions of competition because we will not have paper copies available. If after reading them you still have questions then you may contact me at cgants@premiergc.com.
We surpassed our maximum field size of 144 about 2-weeks ago but we did not want to close registration so we had to pivot from our traditional 3-some pairings. With 166 players we had no choice but to move to 4-some groupings. This will impact our pace of play slightly but with everyone’s commitment to keep up with the group in front of you we should still be able to get everyone around the course in less than 5 hours. We will be monitoring groups on the course so if your group does fall behind, do not be angry if we ask you to close the gap.
Your tournament handicap was pulled on July 7th and the index from that date will be used for both tournament rounds.
If you see any spelling or handicap index errors, please let me know ASAP so that I can correct them before printing the scoreboard.
We did our best to honor all tee time and group requests but with 166 players it became quite difficult to fulfill 100% of the requests.
Tee times for Sunday's play will be based on your gross score by Division. Please see your divisional assignment and then use the below table to estimate your Sunday start time:
Sunday July 13th:
We are providing a lunch for the players on Saturday. You may have it before or after your round – just check in with the restaurant staff and your name is on a list.
Additionally, all players will receive a West Seattle GC Fox Logo hat of your choice. Visit our pro shop anytime during the weekend to select any of our 400 hats.
Finally, we need all players to arrive to the tee five minutes early so that we have time to go over local rules and specific information about the tournament.
(Last item to note: if for some reason you are unable to open the PDF documents then let me know. Some people have told me that the files have been converting to win.dat files. You can also check the tournament web site starting on July 9th and download the files from there - Seattle WA - Premier Golf Centers )
We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday and hope you play well,
