2021 Seattle Amateur Championship will be postponed until the Fall.
Applications will be available in June
2020 Seattle Amateur Participant,
Thank you all for playing in the 86th Seattle Am. With the weather forecast I was not confident that we would be able to get all of the rounds completed. With the help of the maintenance crews at Jefferson and West Seattle we were able to present the courses as best we could with all of the challenges with Mother Nature. I am very appreciative of the hard work of our parterns on the turf grass side.
I also want to thank the rest of the tournament committee that gave up three long days to help administer this event:
Tony Wilkins - Jackson Park
Adam Slemp - Interbay
Andrew Soderberg - Jefferson Park
Matt Lipe - Jackson Park
Another acknowledgement goes out to the Gonzaga Women's Golf Team - we all enjoyed seeing you compete right alongside some of the best players in the Northwest.
We had an incredible finish! Mark Strickland had a 3 shot lead to start the day but found himself 2 shots behind Cody Roth standing on the 17th tee. Mark birdied the last two holes to force a playoff with Cody and continued his hot streak making birdie on both playoff holes to claim the title of 2020 Seattle Amateur Champion.
All 30 players who made the cut will split the $4200 Prize Fund (attached). An account has been created with your name and the amount you won - you may use this credit account at West Seattle, Jefferson, Jackson or Interbay. If we don't have what you are looking for in our pro shops then let me know and I will special order anything you would like - send an email to email@example.com and I will take care of it for you.
Please post all of your own tournament scores.
I took many photos and videos of the competitors the past 3-days and have posted them to the Instagram account @westseattleheadpro
It was a special 3-days seeing you all again this year as I celebrated my 25th year as the Seattle Amateur Chairman.
