January 2006 Newsletter

Thanks to you, the golfers, 2005 was a great year for the City of Seattle golf courses. The City maintenance staffs did a great job keeping the courses in excellent shape throughout the year. Rounds increased for the third year in a row. And some significant improvements were started and/or completed in 2005, including the new (206) 838-GOLF automated reservation system, some new tees at Jefferson Park, the renovation of the driving range at Jefferson Park, a new event tent at Jackson Park and the Bunker Restoration Project at West Seattle as well as many other smaller projects. Among many improvements to the PremierGG.com website, we added the ability to purchase gift certificates, lessons and Premier Golf Club memberships on line. Many of you used this new feature to purchase these items on line as Christmas gifts this year. As you can see, we’ve also improved the format of our newsletter. We hope you like the changes.
