General

A special thank you goes out to all of the junior campers who took part in our camps this year and to the Interbay instruction staff for all of their hard work. Also, we want to recognize all of our BBQ Jazz band participants who made this year’s venue another success and those of you who cam out in support

As we head into the Fall season, there is still plenty of golf left to play. Also, be on the lookout for Fall Clearance specials in the Pro Shop. Now is the time to pick up clubs and take advantage of significant savings. Sale items are marked on selected new and demo equipment.

Our package specials are still in effect this September. Come play on weekday mornings for our Early Bird Special or take advantage of weekend evenings with our Weekend Twilight Special. Each package special comes with a round of golf, pull cart, and hot dog or breakfast sandwich.

We look forward to seeing you here at Interbay Golf Center this September!

Interbay Performance Fitting Center:

Interbay Golf Center unveiled the Interbay Performance Fitting Center during the month of July, and the response has been great. Interbay is now offering Performance Club Fitting by appointment for all aspects of the Golf Game. As technology increases, and the equipment in the market becomes more specialized and advanced, it is becoming more and more important to have equipment custom tailored to your game. With the help of a PGA certified staff of teachers and club-fitters, Interbay will offer the most complete fitting experience available in the region. Please take the time to stop by the golf shop and see what is available through the Performance Fitting Program. Any questions can be directed to PGA Golf Shop Manager, Jon Schrader at 206-285-2200 ext 206 or at jschrader@premiergc.com.

Golf Shop Specials

During the month of September, all Golf Shoes will be 15% off!
All Adidas (Men’s and Women’s) Apparel will be 25% off!

Rules Tip of the Month:

Rule 22-1 Ball Assisting Play
Except when a ball is in motion, if a player considers that a ball might assist any other player, he may:

A) lift the ball if it is his ball, or
B) have any other ball lifted

A ball lifted under this Rule must be replaced (see Rule 20-3). The ball must not be cleaned unless it lies on the putting green (see Rule 21).

In stroke play, a player required to lift his ball may play first rather than lift the ball.
In stroke play, if the Committee determines that competitors have agreed not to lift a ball that might assist any other player, they are disqualified.

Essentially, this means that you may not intentionally leave your ball in a position where it stands to aid another player. If in a tournament, your partner is chipping from above the hole and your ball is just past the hole. You may not offer to leave it there, or your partner may not request that you leave it there. Once it has been determined that the ball in question may assist the player, it must be lifted according to the rules.
