After three of the most perfect days for golf we have crowned our 2009 Seattle Amateur Champion. With a tournament record score of 11 Under Par Jonathan Keane from Everett Country Club ran away from the field with an eight shot victory. He played flawlessly as he posted the days low score at each of the three golf courses including a 67 at West Seattle Golf Course on the final day. Keane putted flawlessly all week which carried over to his final round where he posted 8 birdies on the day. 

We had a three way tie for second at 3-under par including George White (67 at West Seattle), Michael Haack (70) and Chris Bae (71). All of which played remarkably well but could not catch the leader. George White was especially hot through 10 holes posting six birdies and no bogeys. Chris Bae continues his stellar play in the Seattle Amateur posting his fifth top ten finish. Michael Haack surprised no one with his good play at the Seattle Amateur as he backed up his strong finish at the Washington State Open.

And our feel good story of the tournament revolves around a rule violation of Bobby Griffin from Wing Point. He called a 2-shot penalty on himself which demonstrates his tremendous integrity and respect for not only the game of golf but his fellow competitors.
