541 Yards Par 5 - The long first hole has a fairway bunker approximately 260 yards from the tee. Set yourself up for the best shot to the green by having your second shot favor the left side of the fairway but keep in minds many balls will end up there as the fairway slopes from right to left. It is important to hit into this hard sloping right to left green from the left side of the fairway as any shot from the right will seem to slowly trickle off the green. Expect trouble if you miss the green in the right rough - an impossible 'up and down' will follow. If fact, it is easier to get it 'up and down' from the green side bunker that protects the front left portion of the green. This green is considered one of the three most difficult on the course and if you are above the hole, you won't believe how fast the ball rolls. While waiting to hit your putt, walk to the back of the green and look at the hole location on #8.
