Patty Curtiss  

Patty Curtiss - Director of Instruction

Patty has a unique blend of experience teaching and coaching golf. As a former Division 1, and all conference golfer at the University of New Mexico, Patty chose a career in Sports Medicine and worked with many collegiate athletes. In 1998, Patty joined the LPGA and worked as a dual credentialed golf professional in Palm Springs, where she founded Golf Rehab, a medically directed golf instruction program. 

Patty grew up in Tacoma and returned to Seattle in 2018. She remains actively involved with the Washington Junior Golf Association and has been coaching the best junior players in the state for over 20 years. She thoroughly enjoys people and teaching and will help you improve all aspects of your game.

Patty is an LPGA Life Member, Retired Athletic Trainer and certified club fitter for Ping.

Matt Lipe  

Matthew Lipe - Head Golf Professional

Matthew Lipe began playing and studying the game of golf at the age of 9 in Scottsdale, AZ. For over 20 years he has continued to hone his game and rigorously studied modern swing theory and teaching philosophies. Using the latest video and computer software to analyze and critique his students’ swings, Matthew is able to tailor an individualized practice routine to maximize your potential. Currently an apprentice in the Western Washington Chapter of the PGA, Matthew has worked with individuals of all skill levels and ages. Over the last several years he has worked with The First Tee of Seattle and Jefferson Park’s junior golf camps. Matthew is available for private, semi-private lessons and corporate bookings.

Ben Simpson  

Ben Simpson - Assistant Golf Professional

Ben moved from Alaska to Seattle in the fall of 2014, and graduated UW Seattle with a BS in biology and minor in mathematics. After being introduced to golf in college, he developed a passion for the game and worked hard to improve his skills. He spent two years at Green Lake Pitch and Putt teaching short game to patrons before joining Jackson Park GC. At Jackson Park he contributes to instruction in the form of junior camps, weekly clinics, and private instruction. He also serves as a PGA associate instructor for the First Tee.

Ben loves golf and the life lessons it teaches. His teaching style incorporates the wisdom of prominent professionals such as: Jacobs, Penick, Rotella, Bender, Malaska, and Wilkins. He believes individuals who remain in control of themselves on a golf course are predisposed to success in life. He is eager to help players improve and achieve their goals.

Ben is on staff with Srixon and certified to fit Srixon, Ping, and Callaway.

Jake Jardine  

Jake Jardine - Teaching Professional

Jake is a passionate golfer with a deep love for the game. He discovered his passion at a young age and has since dedicated himself to teaching and coaching. Jake's journey began in Chicago, where he played with his grandfather and was inspired by Jack Nicklaus' Masters victory. He later honed his skills through friendly games with friends and family.

 While Jake started his competitive golf career relatively late, he has made significant strides. He has actively participated in member guest tournaments with the local PGA chapter, gaining valuable experience and understanding of the challenges faced by golfers in tournament play. He is currently affiliated with the PGA of America and has the experience required to address the needs of his students.

 For the past few years, Jake has been teaching golf to juniors and adults at The First Tee of Greater Seattle.  Currently, he conducts junior golf camps, teaches adult classes, and offers private lessons here at Jackson Park. Known for his patience, understanding, and friendly demeanor, Jake creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere for his students. He believes in keeping instruction simple and personalized, working closely with each student to develop a tailored improvement program aligned with their golfing goals. He believes in practicing with purpose and identifies the unique golfing skills in each player, regardless of their ability, to ensure productive learning experiences.

 With his extensive experience, coaching background, and leadership skills, Jake is highly respected among his peers in the golfing community. Whether you're a beginner or aiming for high-level tournament play, Jake is dedicated to helping you achieve your golfing goals.
